Pieces to fit is a platform that treats performance and live installation as art pieces to be exhibited. The exhibition, curated and organised by artist Marina Tsartsara, hosts artistic practice that does not easily fit into pigeon holes of dance performance, live art, installation and screen dance but acts on the intersection between those art forms.
Pieces to fit aims to expand the boundaries between live performance and installation, the range of spaces that could host this kind or art event, and the audience’s perception of what is considered to be a performance or an installation.
Artists participants in Pieces to fit_3 that was performed at The Nightingale as part of Brighton May Fringe Festival 2012:
Dimitris Politis, Elena Molinaro, Madaleine Trigg, Maria Karoupalou, Georgia Konstantinidi and Niki Stergiou, Lydia Fraser-Ward, Marina Tsartsara with Soline Pillet.
