For the snow season of 11/12 Tamo Campos, Lewis Muirhead, David MacKinnon and a few friends decided to go carbon neutral with their riding. By converting a 1992 Ford F250 Diesel to run on used cooking oil and using splitboards to tour up to the runs they achieved more fun with less petroleum. This short video shows the oil collected from restaurants, their huge truck and some shots of riding in Nelson, BC; Mt. Baker, WA; Diamond Head park, BC; and Mt. Cain on Vancouver Island. Tamo Campos does talks with elementary students regarding helmet safety and started adding a component to his lectures about this project and it received a very positive reception from the kids. The project is planned to be continued into the future and the team is currently collecting sponsors to make next season's adventure more widespread with more educational opportunities for the public in general.
