Mesh Experience is a realtime visualization, responding to live guitar performance. Parameters effecting visualization include a circle of 48 points - equaling the tones of a guitar - which surround the performer. The amplitude of every point depends on the velocity of each tone. Relying on the volume and intensity, each tone remains at a certain amplitude or reverts. Bendings are expressed by a twist of the whole circle. To get a point of view of the whole song or jam, the mesh keeps it all together by connecting every remarkable tone. Our installation contained two projectors, one infrared camera, a Roland VG-99 for signalling MIDI from the guitar to a high-speed computer with VVVV.
