We had recently been involved in the story of the Boscombe Centre for Community Arts (BCCA) and its occupation by the community. As a result of spending time filming and meeting those involved we had made a number of friends and contacts. Earlier this week we had been contacted by a member of Occupy to say that there might be a new occupation in Bournemouth and because we had shown such impartiality and integrity in covering the last story, they wanted us to be first to the story.
With just a couple of hours notice today, we were told to meet a group member in a town centre location. We witnessed this small group of protesters take occupation of an open plot of land owned by the Council, and begin to set up camp.
Here is a brief introduction to this story, as told by one of the group.
