This video was created to compliment the final presentation of a Master in Architecture thesis at the University of Cincinnati. The thesis studies the way a body negotiates its weight to create precarious equilibriums in balancing acts to inform the conceptual design of a circus training and performance facility.
The individuals featured in this video are members or students of the Cincinnati Circus Company. The group is offering Flying Trapeze classes just across from the UC campus and kindly allowed me to film them for my research. The hand balancing scenes are performed by the talented Andrew Goedicke who generously gave his time, strength, and poise so I could capture these beautiful poses.
