This is a recording of a May 10th, 2012 RISE Network Videoconference titled Expect the Unexpected: Emergency Preparedness.
This videoconference session was presented by The Canadian Red Cross and provided information on how to prepare yourself and your family in the event of a disaster. The presentation was part of Emergency Preparedness Week (May 6-12, 2012).
The Canadian Red Cross knows disasters can strike at any time. They advise Albertans to be prepared for at least 72 hours and to expect the unexpected. When it comes to being prepared for a disaster, all Albertans should:
- Know the risks
- Make a plan
- Have an emergency kit
