News headlines are read over staged and real images of violence. A scalpel cuts a flesh-like substance in what at first appears to be a grotesque surgery, but eventually emerges as the creation of a bizarre dessert resembling an American flag. News headlines and political speeches overlay this and other images. The consequences of war and violence are considered in a troubling collage.
