6 Canadians will embark on a canoe expedition taking them from Yellowknife, N.W.T. to Kugluktuk, NU. Canada's great North is a vast stretch of land with its own fascinating history – a land largely taken care of by Aboriginal Peoples. Leaving July 1st, 2012, they'll be canoeing over 1600 kilometers, through stunning landscapes. As educators, historians, and photographers, this trip has a dual purpose: young Canadians need to know about Canada's North, and we want to promote an experiential, outdoor model of education: There's just no better way to learn than to get out in the world and see it for yourself.
