In June of 2011, SFGH, in partnership with the Safety Net Institute and ExperiaHealth, launched the Patient Experience Transformation (PExT) Initiative aiming to create consistently positive experiences for patients, families, and employees. The PExT Initiative has been a collaborative with leaders and staff from California Public Hospital Systems. The SFGH PExT team focused on improving the experiences for patients, families, and employees in the Urgent Care Center by focusing on "first impressions" for those entering the UCC.
