„Dancescapes“ is a multimedia dance performance for 3 dancers and Installation. As the title indicates, the idea is to dance in landscapes and to it’s surrounding sounds, which also serve as stage settings for 3 dancers Solos.
„Dancescapes“ entails the live interaction and manipulation by dancers of audio-visual media and includes video projections onstage of dances filmed in northern Africa.
The soundtrack of "Dancescapes" consists of Lo-Fi recordings gathered from local radio stations. In this respect, an important aspect of the performance are the recordings of Saharan Haul music from Saharawi refugee camps which were recorded from the National Radio of the Saharan Arab Republic. „Dancescapes“ is a dance and „road movie“ performance fluctuating between Lo-Fi and Hi-Tech, E-Dance and Land-Art.
