The BRPL, modeled after a PSP-like format, creates opportunities for fast games and many back-to-back battles on the field!
A total MATCH time of 10 minutes is given for teams to run through as many games (points) as possible. Teams get 1 minute and between points to get loaded up and wiped clean. Then it's off to the next point. The winner of the most points at the end of 10 minutes wins the match!
2012 Format Divisions:
A separation of divisions between more experienced, veteran players and a novice division of rookie players creates more "equality" within the event and better matches players with the same skill levels. Inequality in the previous format caused some trepidation among newer tournament players and may have kept them from playing our league and tournaments in general. BRPL will start bridging this gap by offering a Veterans Division where only seasoned, veteran players will battle for their own glory and bragging rights!
The newly formed Rookie Division will run a mirrored format and give new tournament players a taste of what competitive pump paintball feels like without the stress and anxiety. Prizes of trophies and medals will also be given with the added possibility of moving up through the ranks, earning points and notoriety and someday, after several hard fought events under their belts, the Rookies will have a chance to catch their Veteran brethren in the upper division! Rookies will need to be on their game if they want to advance up and play with the big boys! Or they can just play and have fun! That's the point of the Rookie Division...play pump, meet new people, HAVE FUN!
Both division will run a Race-to Format giving players back-to-back opportunities to play their opponents. Break times will be limited to 1 minute. Teams with the most points at the end of the day will win it!
