And I'm back! Still playing with my little custom ICE node. Same great tune (Fool's Chaos - Slowly Falling out of innocence -, different set-up: I wanted to use the frequency spectrum to drive strands, so here is the setup:

- strands emitted from a sphere
- sphere is deformed using a texture map and driven by the 2 lowest frequency bands which pushes the points outward
- strands are driven by strands dynamic
- in addition each strand randomely listen to a frequency. The higher the input in the frequency, the more the strand is straighten (that is forces a minimum angle between each segment)

I've uploaded the scene here: If you try it, you need 1st to load the WaveToSpectrum plugin using the plug-in manager, the DLL can be downloaded from here (no addon yet, i've add difficulty actually creating it :(, 64bits, win ):
