Women - particularly poor women - bear the brunt of neo-liberal policies. In this short vid, women from various countries state why its important to mobilize the collective to look at macro-economic dislocation.
It was produced from an impromptu workshop hosted by feminist economist, Devaki Jain, at the 2011 Women's Worlds Congress in Ottawa. Nearly 2000 participants from 92 countries attended this event.
The congress itself raised the bar for how women converge in ways that value and respect the participation of under-represented communities.
