Hello everyone. This is a video presenting the concept of Activities and Workareas in Plasma Desktop. More information about it you can find at the KDE's Workspace Vision Forum and the Brainstorm Forum.
This UI is completely written in QML and its goal is to become a KDE Plasmoid.
-The main parts of the UI are:
-On the top side exist the Running Activities, which you can stop them, clone them, delete them and change their names and their icons.
-On the right side you can see the Stopped Activities which you can activate them again.
-On the bottom side exist tasks or windows which are available in every activity and every desktop-workarea. These windows you can restore them in their previous state or close them.
In the center exists the main part of the UI that contains the workareas for each active activity. As you can see you can add them, delete them, rename them and activate them very easily.
-In each desktop you can see its running tasks which you can make them available in every desktop of this activity or everywhere in all activities and desktops.
From the various buttons around the UI you can use the lock/unlock for the activities, hide/show for windows, add a new activity and change the zoom for the UI
One important point is that for this UI drag n' drop is enabled and more specific for the windows. So, you can change their location and interact with the UI in more intuitive way.
That's all, thank you very much for your time and I hope you like it. Please send me your feedback and ideas and if anyone wants to help in any part I definitely need more hands...
So have a nice day everyone...
