The film explores the importance of the catchment area of a river. The lifeline of South India, namely the Cauvery starts in the district of Kodagu. The developments in this area if not regulated could seriously damage the life of the river and for all those 80 million people who depend on it. The College of Forestry in Ponnampet along with the Canadian Model Forest Trust are exploring methods to sustainably develop this area without damaging its immediate surroundings as well as the life of the river. A few of the systems are Payment for Ecosystem services, Landscape Labelling etc.
