The film crew needs your help getting this documentary out to the world: kickstarter.com/projects/cranktank/im-fine-thanks
Filmed by a make shift crew of five filmmaking friends, I'm Fine, Thanks is a new, feature-length documentary about complacency. It's a collection of stories about life, the choices we all make, and the paths we ultimately decide to follow.
We examine the factors that motivate and drive our major life choices. And, most importantly, whether or not the path we follow through life - and the habits we form based on that path - are truly connected with who we really are as individuals.
This is a movie about the moment people realize the life they're living is not the life that's true to their heart... and, as a result, what they decide to do about it!
The updated, ever-growing stats:
1,734 backers (as of the exact moment I write this!)
We've crossed 45% ($45,000 raised)
Almost 6,500 likes on the trailer (are you kidding?)
And 18 days left to go still!
We'll hit the halfway point later this week - but we're making good progress even before that point! Keep it up!
One of those sexy statistics we are MOST proud of is the sheer number of backers.
With over 1,700 backers we have more individual people pledging to support this film than most of the top Kickstarter-funded documentaries ever! (including more people than one that just raised $240,000)
Sure, some of the documentaries have raised more money, but that's never been our goal (to raise the most money). Instead our goal is to impact as many people as possible (which is why we offered the full download at just $5) - and your helping us do JUST THAT!
Right now, we're 7th overall in most-backed documentaries - and we're not even halfway done! You. Guys. Rock.
Other updates:
We've struck a cool partnership with our friends at WithEtiquette.com to have the entire film soundtrack done by indie musicians. They've got a small army of amazingly talented bands and musicians - and it's exciting to start to think about how the movie will SOUND in addition to how it will LOOK. :)
We're hitting our stride with the *voice* of the film (how it will flow, sound, and transition) and the entire team is starting to get super, super excited. We've got our work cut out for us - but it's coming together nicely!
We've also began work on the graphics, DVD covers, posters, and websites that will help get the word out even more. This is a long process - but our success with the campaign so far means we can start it now!
Lastly, we're finalizing theaters for our NYC and L.A. premires. I should have more information next week or so. We've also began our list of "hopeful-to-visit" cities to add to a tour after we make the movie public. Stay tuned.
