This is a documentation of the sound waves projections of ~~Kulunka~~ 'Phenomenological embodied visual sound', an immersive installation that besides hearing, evokes unusual ways of perceiving vibrations: seeing and being touched by them. For obvious reasons, tactile sound can not be documented
Low frequencies, transmitted to water in a glass container, activate resonant phenomena where patterns of waves are created. This morphing geometries are illuminated by strobing high powered LEDs and projected to the surrounding space. Tactile transducers, underneath the platform where the visitors lay down, allow them to "listen" with their bodies, evoking a peculiar sensation of gravity and - at times - the loss of it, embraced in a tactile sonic experience under the rhythms of the composition. The harmonic series of the not audible frequencies applied to the water, are diffused in a three-dimensional fashion through a four-channel sound system.
