The quest for my Guru/ ഗുരുവിനെ തേടി

ഗുരു എന്ന വാക്കിന്റെ അർഥം "അന്ധകാരം നീക്കി വെളിച്ചം പകരുന്ന ആൾ" എന്നാണ്. ആ വാക്കിന്റെ അർത്ഥം പൂർണമായി ഉൾക്കൊണ്ട് കൊണ്ട് നിർമിച്ച ഒരു ഹ്രസ്വ ചിത്രം. ഒരു കുട്ടി അവന്റെ ഗുരുവിനെ തേടുന്നു, അവന്റെ ഉള്ളിലെ പ്രപഞ്ചം സൃഷ്ട്ടിക്കുന്ന ചലനങ്ങൾ നമ്മൾ ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്നു.

Guru (Master) is a Sanskrit word, meaning, the one who removes darkness and brings forth light.

The film 'Guruvine thedi (The quest for my Guru)' is the quest of a little boy Appu to find his Guru. His gentle father, the ocean and sky are the silent witnesses to his quest.

Little Appu, enticed by the early morning call of a drummer, sets in pursuit of the source of the sound. His quest leads him to a percussionist practising his art, with the ocean and sky as his sole witness.

Appu is mesmerised.

The sound of the drum stays inside him and grows steadily. Every day, he watches the drummer practising his art. He is swayed and enraptured by the rhythms. The beats stay in his heart, when awake and when asleep.

His gentle father is a silent witness to the transformation of his son. The wise man is intelligent and does not interfere. He is a gentle observer. He knows to stand aside when the universe is calling.

And, when the time arrives for Appu to submit himself to his Guru, he sends him with his blessings and love.

As little Appu, finally submits himself to the Guru, the father, the ocean and sky are witnesses.
