Lake Tanganyika is the oldest and deepest lake in Africa and contains 17% of the worlds fresh water !
This short film is a visual showcase for Chris Martin / Martin visuals. It uses key speakers and academics in a " communications champions roles " to tell the story of some of the issues facing the environment and people in the lake Tanganyika region in Zambia, Burundi, DR Congo and Tanzania.
Among the issues briefly discussed are fisheries and food security, climate change, water resources and private public partnerships. The film was created within an environment in which the dual goals were capacity building of an institution ( Lake Tanganyika Authority ) as well as storytelling and film making.
The material is presented as a narrative created from the combined perspective of the "communication champions " at the Lake Tanganyika Authority.
