Pierre Toussaint Scholarship Program (PTSP) and College Pierre Toussaint are extremely proud to report On behalf of our Pierre Toussaint Scholars and their families, the students and families of College Pierre Toussaint in Sassier, Haiti, and the Office of Black Ministry of the Archdiocese of New York, we thank you for your kind and generous support of the Pierre Toussaint Scholarship Program (PTSP) and College Pierre Toussaint (CPT) during the past year.
As a result of your great generosity, and that of other kind and generous supporters like you, our Pierre Toussaint Scholars (our college student leaders), are able to receive much needed financial support, valuable educational advisement, and all-important personal mentorship. And they are all doing very well!
We are extremely proud to report that there are now over 300 students in grades
that there are now over 300 students in grades 7 through 12 at College Pierre Toussaint, an excellence-driven secondary school in the poor, rural community of Sassier. You may recall that a little over six years ago, there was NO secondary school located in the community of Sassier and the surrounding area. Now, we have 25 students from that poor but determined community, who are just one year away from the possibility of enrolling in universities to study to be the future doctors, engineers, nurses, teachers, lawyers, and other leaders in their community and country. As we have said in describing our program-goals and our students: “Transforming lives; Building Futures!” which is exactly what’s happening and we thank you for helping to make this possible.
