On February 1, 2012 The National Association of Black Journalists, Syracuse University chapter (NABJ-SU) hosted Steve Stoute, media mogul and author of The Tanning of America. He is currently the CEO & founder of the influential branding and marketing firm Translation based in New York, NY.

Stoute engaged in an in depth conversation moderated by NABJ SU member Troy James, discussing his experiences as a music executive as well as his transition into an advertising/branding pro. In addition, Stoute also familiarize students with his compelling new book, The Tanning of America.
