Here's a short snippet of the upcoming sci-fi short film, Patch. Headed to Film Festivals soon.
In the 1990s, Artificially Intelligent robots were deemed illegal. But Joel, having lost his mother and friendless in a small desert town, yearned for companionship that his current lifestyle couldn't provide. So instead, having found some junk in the local scrap-yard, he built himself a friend.
This short clip is the first time he finally turns his creation on and finally puts a name to the face.
Patch is a grounded sci-fi revisionist historical piece about AI, robots, loneliness, and what it means to not only be alive, but what it means to be yourself and the trust you build with others. Fully funded by bit-coin, this first-of-its-kind film is set to hit film festivals in the 2020-2021 season.
