A first time teacher and criminal justice doctoral student is Texas State University's latest winner of the Teaching With Sakai Innovation Award. Jaclyn Schildkraut from the School of Criminal Justice won the 2012 Higher Education Face-to-Face category of the award. She traveled to Atlanta, Georgia to receive the award at the Sakai conference.
In an interview, Schildkraut described her winning course and the reasons why she constructed it as she did.
