Lecture 4 in a series of talks for a flipped classroom where students work on an independent reading project and blogging to a class intranet on their own reflections, as well as those of others. This talk looks at the narrative arc and variations on this arc. The lecture glances back to Aristotle and Horace, then forwards through Freytag and Laurel. This lecture stresses multimodality through an adapted use of the 'Art of Memory', located symbols in architectural spaces and using text and colour to link central ideas to places. The lecture uses a Kinect sensor for Windows with StagePresence 1.1.2 to create an Augmented Reality lecture, linked to an exploration of multimodality for the classroom. The content is mapped to the Australian Curriculum English for Year 8 students as well as AITSL Standards 2, 3 and 6 and draft ICT Statements. Created by Michael Sisley of Telopea Park School, Canberra in June 2012.
