This year I attended my first Dawn Service and I really wanted to capture it on camera.
For those of you that don't know, ANZAC day is a national day of remembrance for both Australia and New Zealand where we remember those who have gone before us and died in the line of duty. Most specifically those soldiers who fought at Galippoli in Turkey in WWI.
I was surprised at how emotional the event was and even shed a tear thinking of times past.
Unfortunately there was next to no available light and I was too respectful (read: scared) to move during the absolute silence of the ceremony. So I wasn't able to get to other angles, hopefully next year I can organise something earlier and have a little more freedom of movement.
Shot on the Sony EX1 and Panasonic HVX202.
