I travelled to Riverton/Aparima, the birthplace of my tūpuna (ancestors) and filmed myself walking on the land wearing Victorian boots, hoping to feel some connection with the ghosts of my lost ancestors, hoping that they would speak to me. This short essay film tells the story of what I did find.
