Riverfront Times' June 14, 2012, feature "Code Dead" tells the story of the investigation into the death of Ricky McCormick, a St. Louis man whose body was found some distance away in a field on the outskirts of Alton, Illinois. In his pocket were a pair of notes, written in a cypher that has stymied cryptographers for the last decade. RFT talked with St. Louis-area amateur code expert Elonka Dunin about the McCormick notes.
