The Niagara Artists Centre and the Brock Centre for the Arts present the WINE KING and the POLKA KING as a celebration of the original visual and performing arts of Niagara.

In 2009, the WINE KING float garnered national press in his inaugural journey down the parade route. Conceived by internationally-known cartoonist Seth, the WINE KING was constructed by a team of artists from the Niagara Artists Centre. The rotund wine lover stands over ten feet high and toasts the crowd with a giant glass of Niagara fine red wine.

The WINE KING returned to the 2010 Niagara Wine Festival Parade with double the royalty! In his second parade appearance, the WINE KING toasted revelers lining the street while POLKA KING Walter Ostanek rode alongside pumping out popular party melodies on his accordion.
