"Shoes" highlights the environmental impacts of footwear.
Leather & plastic shoes have ingredients that are of concern for the worker, wearer, and the world in general. These include: dyes, adhesives, solvents, pesticides, plasticizers, and heavy metals.
What can you do? Buy fewer shoes; maintain your shoes so they will last longer; buy environmentally preferable shoes; recycle useable old shoes by donating them to a charity; and send unusable shoes back to the manufacturer for disassembly and reuse.
