This is some raw footage I shot on the grounds of a factory while on a residency as part of Akademie der Künste's sommerakademie in 2003. It is filmed in Rüdersdorf, Brandenburg, on the outskirts of Berlin.
I spent two weeks exploring these grounds and making a video piece called "Gone". You can view "Gone" here on my vimeo page also.
For this videoI have put a piece I wrote while working at the ADK studios in Berlin alongside the raw footage to help bring it to life somehow.
This is not a piece of video art. It is simply some fascinating footage of a profoundly beautiful derelict factory that I thought I would share. To me every shot it is a work of art. A feast for the eyes.
It is unedited and should be viewed from a purely observational point of view.
