Berkeley-based artist extraordinaire Brendan Monroe's paintings, sculptures, illustrations and toys are increasingly causing a stir. We totally agree, since his work bears a psychotic tension and existentialist strength that offers unequaled opportunities. We met Brendan Monroe in Berlin for a little chat about scientific approaches and his penchant for collecting insects.
