Invermere, BC Canada. In August 2011 i was visiting Canada. While in Invermere I called my friend Rod and we meat up for an afternoon glacier visit. We first thermal/Glide over Canadian Rockies than crossed the wetlands to Purcell mountain range. Our final destination was, The lake of the broken glacier. If anyone knows a better way to see glaciers please let me know, because i could't come up with a better way than flying a glider over them. Gliders are non motorized airplanes, towed up to sufficient altitude to find a thermal (warm lifting air) then disconnected from the tow plane pilot continues finding lift and avoiding sink in order to go as far as possible or stay as long as possible in the air. Pure Joy!
