Over my four years at the University of Dayton, I developed a passion for taking videos whilst drinking. Contrary to popular belief, no, I wasn't just keeping them for the hell of it. I always knew I'd end up doing something with them, and after a month at home and realizing it's true what the grown-ups said, that college is in fact the best time of your life, I decided to bunch the best of all these videos together in a series of 2-second clips to try and capture the essence of UD (socially, at least). What I got was little bit of sentiment, a little bit of cheesiness, a lot of dancing, a lot of laughter, and a touch of drag thrown in for good measure.
This 5 minute video covers Sophomore to Senior year at UD, from Garden Apartments on 350 Stewart St to 437 and 449 Lowes, featuring two mock weddings, one of three trips to Daytona, a trip to Michigan, a Christmas celebration, and the random week nights which turned out to be some of the most memorable. It was really wonderful putting this together and reliving some of my best memories at UD.
A big thanks to my ever-photogenic Daves and my camera, Larry, without whom I could never have done this.
Apologies to all my friends who unfortunately didn't make an appearance. I was definitely missing some of you in my footage, but always remember you still have a place in my heart. :-*
Set to Robyn's "Dancing on my Own," one of our (many) signature songs.
Filmed on a Canon T1i w/ 50mm f/1.8, Kodak PlaySport, and iPhone.
