This multimedia piece was produced for a project implemented in Guyana, South America, by the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP). The aim of the project was the expose aboriginal Canadian youth to international development and international development work.

The video chronicles the four months the CIP’s aboriginal Canadian interns spent in Region One of Guyana, South America, as they learnt about community development and participated in community development activities.

'Spirit of Change' was shot in Georgetown, Mabaruma and Moruca over the space of one week, using a Canon 7d, a Canon 60D, a handful of lenses (50mm f/1.8, 55-250mm f/5.6, 24-105mm f/4, 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6), a Zoom H4n and a pair of Manfrotto tripods. The piece was supplemented by images shot by the interns over the course of their stay in Guyana. It was edited over the space of a month using Adobe Premier CS5.
