OFFICIAL TRAILER

"World Premiere Video..." is an honest, feel-good testament to a time when the world loved Steven Spielberg and George Lucas and as a consquence everyday kids were using Super-8 film to make their own dreams toward one day making it in Hollywood...

"THIS is just beautifully put together.

I got emotional watching...

It’s a great story.

It’s absolutely a documentary.

It’s absolutely a narrative.

[but] it’s also about the preservation of art, history, memory, technology and the Modern Age.

It’s a great piece… THIS is Gold!"

- Robert Meyer Burnett

Filmmaker Free Enterprise / The Hills Run Red / Agent Cody Banks / and Host of ROBSERVATIONS

“'World Premiere Video…' is an exquisitely lo-fi

piece of autobiographical anthropology

that captures the 90’s I remember, the one where discarded

home movie tools of the 70’s were a bargain basement secret

doorway to the world of music videos and indie film.

There’s no reason it should’ve worked, but for a

generation of outcasts and wannabes (like me and like Mike)

it somehow did…"

Director of Room 237 / The Nightmare /The El Duce Tapes / A Glitch in the Matrix

"'World Premiere Video...' does an expert job getting to the heart of the Super 8 experience - the youthful enthusiasm, no budget inventiveness, the inevitable heartbreak followed by a hint of triumph...

I loved it"

- Daniel Plotnick

Filmmaker / Author - Super 8: The Illustrated History

Many years ago, a young filmmaker embarked on a mission to make a low budget Music Video using Super-8 film - This Music Video paid tribute and homages to the 1980's Music Television channel, MTV.

Inspired by Eddie Van Halen and Frank Zappa's son, Dweezil, he borrowed a guitar and wrote his first song entitled, I WANT TO BE ON MTV - and thereafter attempted to make a music video spoofing MTV favorites like Bon Jovi, Van Halen and even the New Kids On The Block.

Amazingly, MTV's own Dweezil Zappa did a cameo in this Music Video.

But...

...a fire destroys all the Super-8 footage and all this time it has been presumed lost... for 30 years....

YET, during the COVID-19 SXSW shut down, The Zappa documentary lost it's World Premiere so Zappa editor Mike J. Nichols found an old tape of this lost Super-8 footage and created his own surprisingly heartwarming mini documentary to turn his lost Super-8 film footage into a WORLD PREMIERE VIDEO!!!!
