These are excerpts from our online rehearsal on August 4, 2020. We are using "Jamulus" software for low-latency transmission of audio over the internet. All musicians are listening to piano accompaniment and a click track to maintain synchronization in real-time. The most basic requirement is that everyone uses headphones. Wired internet connection is helpful, as is an external microphone, although most members use the built-in microphone of their laptops. While the audio quality could be better, we still manage to work on some music during the pandemic.
I would like to thank Michael Coats, Susan Cole, Bert Crosby, Chuck Hamilton, Doreen Hamilton, Chris Hartzog, Fiona Knight, Anna Kruse, Gwen Parker, Karen Wenzel, Don Wilson, and all other members for their enthusiasm and desire to keep working on music during this difficult time.
