This excerpt is taken from the recent Deadfall Dance performance at the BU Dance Theater titled "White." "White" pulled together several works related in theme. One of those, "Grass", is 30 min piece that uses elegant lines of choreography, a simple box motif, and a collaged soundscape to take the viewer on an emotional journey. Inspired by Walt Whitman's "A Child Said; What is the Grass?" from his Leaves of Grass, the work was created by artistic director Judith Wombwell. In this excerpt, the movement was all developed by the dancers, much of it at a retreat at Earthdance in Western Ma. in 2010.
