This was really my first time shooting with the Canon 60d - I tried using presets to start - but was having trouble with the shifting sunlight / shadow combination - played around in full manual to finally start getting some good shots. The bad stuff I probably over-corrected in Magic Bullet (they seem overly saturated and too gamma-gained to me - but I'll let you decide). We were experimenting with the Sennheiser Lapel Mic - on the back of Martin's collar (which is why he was featured in this - plus he's got a great face for the camera!). I spent a lot of time in Adobe Soundbooth removing pops and wind noise. Overall - I think the sound turned out pretty good for the shots that we used it with. BTW - for those with 60ds - I now feel your pain with the "no audio out from the camera" situation. I had to use bars on the lapels to gauge sound temperature. I plan on making a work-around with Zoom / Tascam. I also regret shooting in 30p - the images seem too sharp and "video-ish" to me.
Special thanks to:
Cesar Vargas (for great help with shots and framing!)
Martin (for being a very good front man!)
Katya (for keeping us in stitches!)
Kim (for some great creativity!)
Bonnie (for bringing Martin - and some very good shot ideas!)
Jerry (for great wisdom and humor!)
