I was delighted to demo a pre production model of the Zip Shooter this past weekend. When I first heard about the unit I was a little skeptical but after using it I was pretty amazing at how quickly the set up was and was very pleased with some of the shots. I'm very limited at events to my 3' slider so the ability to track your shots at an unlimited length was very rewarding. I was able to track the entire length of the bride walking down the aisle, although I was a bit out of focus it give an idea of what this thing is capable of doing. You will also notice that the floor was pretty rough. It was an old wooden floor that was put in over a hundred years ago. The zip seemed to handle the bumps pretty well. All in all this is a pretty amazing unit and a great tool for your bag.
My big pros, its smooth, quick to set up, strong 40LBs weight limit, limitless.
Cons, well its a pre production and I'm sure these will be fixed. Wheels started to become loose from the unit. Also when you change the weight on your camera it changes the direction that the unit wants to go. This is a pretty easy fix with minor adjustments.
