From the Latin 'auscultare' means, "to listen, to explore carefully in order to obtain information."
John Hudson, founder of 100 Fold Studio, and Eric Hutchinson, intern architect, recently
returned from a scouting trip to Israel. They visited the Ariel National Leadership
Development Center (ANLDC), an outdoor adventure ropes course in Ariel, Israel.
The park was created as a partnership between the City of Ariel & JH Ranch
in the United States to provide a Biblically-based leadership training curriculum
for the nation of Israel.
The focus of the visit was to meet with the Mayor of Ariel and his executive staff,
to listen to their vision & goals for the project and to see the site first-hand.
100 Fold has been asked to design a cafeteria, cabins & outdoor learning pavilions
for the park. This week 100 Fold will begin drawing a preliminary Master Plan
to be used for a fundraising campaign in October.
This is a great opportunity to influence a generation of Israel's leaders with
biblical truth & character development. The potential impact is staggering - every
upcoming military officer & school principal in the nation of Israel will attend
this leadership training!
"The goal of the ANLDC is... to help shape effective relational leaders of tomorrow.
Becoming a relational leader involves learning to lead for the sake of others, not for
sake of one's self." - JH Ranch Israel Website
We believe this project has the potential to change a nation.
John and Eric were both deeply impacted by their time in Israel. IN THEIR OWN WORDS-
"I really began to see God in a new light through this trip. He is more vast than I had
ever imagined. I am humbled to have my life graphed into His larger story and purposes...
Modern Israel is complex and this project will help prepare a generation of leaders to
address the challenges from a biblical perspective." John Hudson
"Visiting the site in Ariel helped me understand the scale & magnitude of this project.
I am in awe that 40,000 Israeli youth a year will be equipped with biblical leadership
training as a result of this work. My experience in Israel also broadened my perspective
of God and His word. Seeing the places Jesus walked and taught first-hand gave
context and depth to scripture that I had yet to comprehend. I am so thankful
to have had this opportunity!" Eric Hutchinson
