Alternative Yoopers is a documentary film that follows three groups of people who live and work in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Matt and Andy, skate shop owners in downtown Marquette provide a unique perspective on the landscape and general lifestyle associated with the U.P.
Roger, an artist based out of Ishpeming shares with us his passion for art and his love for nature and solitude.
Jill and Niko, owners of an historic schooner in Marquette, share their deep connection to the Upper Peninsula and especially to Lake Superior. All of these people share a love for the area though from person to person, that connection takes different shapes.
