I made this short introduction to Google+ today in honor of Google+'s 1st birthday. I have come to love the Google+ social media and photo sharing platform over the past year. This has become my platform of choice for my sharing images, articles, and video tutorials. In my opinion, Google+ is now the best place on the web for folks like me with a passion for photography to share our work and to find inspiration from other contemporary artists.
In this short video I show how Google+ merges some of the best features from other sites like Flickr or Twitter into a simple clean interface. I love that this is a social media service where I can easily view photographs--mine or others--without any advertising or distraction.
If you are interested in reading Guy Kawasaki's insightful "What the Plus: Google+ for the Rest of Us" pdf see gumroad.com/l/SNBya. This short pdf really helped me understand how Google+ differs from Facebook. Guy Kawasaki's insights really helped me to understand that Google+ is a place to learn about and engage with others who share your passions rather than just another way to keep track of old friends.
