In this teaching, Dr. Don G Pickney takes us into how the anointing for this event flowed from Abraham’s day to Moses’ day and the plundering of Egypt of all of their individual wealth, to this very current event underway as God shakes all nations:
Haggai 2:5-9 “According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remains among you: fear ye not. (6) For thus saith the LORD of hosts (Jehovah Tsaba); Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; (7) And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts (Jehovah Tsaba). (8) The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts (Jehovah Tsaba). (9) The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts (Jehovah Tsaba): and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts (Jehovah Tsaba).”
Zechariah 2:8-9 “For thus saith the LORD of hosts (Jehovah Tsaba); After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that touches you touches the apple of his eye. (9) For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts (Jehovah Tsaba) hath sent me.”
This service becomes a great celebration as Pastor Don reveals the clarity with which two great commentaries, John Wesley’s Notes of the Bible, and Albert E. Barnes Commentary on the Bible, both speak of the Church being recipients of a great last-days “wealth conversion!”
John Wesley was an English cleric, theologian and evangelist who was a leader of a revival movement within the Church of England known as Methodism. The societies he founded became the dominant form of the Methodist Church that continues to this day.
Albert E. Barnes (1798-1870) was an American theologian, born at Rome, New York, on December 1, 1798. He graduated from Hamilton College, Clinton, New York, in 1820, and from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1823. Barnes was ordained as a Presbyterian minister by the presbytery of Elizabethtown, New Jersey, in 1825, and was the pastor successively of the Presbyterian Church in Morristown, New Jersey (1825-1830), and of the First Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia (1830-1867).
