Yemen is affected by several conflicts. Two are taking place in the south of the country, where thousands of civilians have been displaced and casualties are reported almost daily.
I Know Where I’m Going follows Hussein Saleh—who was born in an area partially controlled by the Al Qaeda affiliated group Ansar Al Sharia—as he networks with the government and other parties to ensure that the International Committee of the Red Cross can carry out its humanitarian mission and visit detainees held by a Jihadist group for the first time.
Mr. Saleh was tragically killed by an airstrike while working, shortly after the film was photographed.
Mr. Saleh's efforts were critical to the work of the ICRC in Aden and greatly contributed to the development of a neutral humanitarian operation in this volatile and dangerous region.
