Extinction (2020)
Very little short film made this summer in approximatly 1 month but over 2 months.
This is an adaptation of a comic strip by Mix et Remix (1erdegre.ch/blog/) a Swiss artist, so all credits goes to him for the story ! I fell in love with this strip years ago and promess myself to adapt it in animation one day. Sadly Mix et Remix passed away in 2016 and this project became a sort of hommage to his great work.
I wanted to produce this entire short in only a month, that was a personal challenge. The animation and texturing may be improved (a lot) but my planning was tight and I lose too much time on trees' R&D...
Otherwise it was a super fun project to work on because I experimented new 3D styles !

Made in Blender 2.83 + 2.90, Substance Painter, Reaper and DaVinci Resolve. Rendered in EEVEE.
