Working process video of Midi-Shredder

The advertisement company Iris held an event called Arduino Hack Day which is a world wide guerilla workshops to which you bring your own set of tech tools and creative ideas and collaborate with other developers and engineers to produce new interactive hardwares. During the first day of Arduino Hack day, Kate Pincott, Rafael Filomeno and I were working as a group and came up with the idea shredder + a music box + a Tamagotchi. It reads the black and white of the paper that is shred and turns it into funny or melodic sound. It generates different sounds depending on the character: monster, bird and heavy metal rocker. It encourages more people to use a shredder, therefore being eco-friendly. It also has a small LCD screen on the chest which displays comments such as “Feed me!” when there is not much paper to be shred or “you have saved 5 trees” which makes you feel a sense of reward.
