Brian Dowdall, a contemporary folk/outsider/visionary artist, talks about his life and his art. After graduating from high school in the 1960s, he set out to find adventure, hitchhiking across the country. He met many interesting people and held many unusual jobs during this time. He settled in Cocoa Beach, Florida, in the 1970s and began making folk art. He creates colorful paintings on cardboard of animal spirits and goddesses.
