The Philippines is in a shameful state. May God Bless the Fallen Filipinos

Extrajudicial killings of the poor, journalists, activists, persons with disabilities, children, farmers, alleged communists, rape victims who talk, political opponents, alleged drug users, people Duterte dislikes, over 30,000 deaths, has bred a culture of violence and fear from which the Philippines will not likely recover. Philippines is ripe for a takeover. Is America coming back to use the Philippines as a platform with which to make war against China?

The International Criminal Court says it wants to help but that help is decades away if the usual success record of the ICC applies.

This is beyond anger. This is the definition of global sadness.

*Under the Duterte Regime, the Philippines infrastructure is collapsing.

*Electrical Power outages across the country are worse than ever.

*Globe Telecom and PLDT internet function is normally OFF or slow especially during emergencies.

*Roads are cracking and breaking up.

*Build build build is for the government officials' companies to drive cheap/slave labour harder. Only the rich dynasty people get richer.

*Pandemic response has been to prevent nurses and doctors who paid for university, did their studies all with the hop of working in another country, only to be prevented from leaving. Staying means $80 month salary and no benefits, no proper PPE unless they buy the uncertified dangerous crap the Duterte Regime is selling to the hospitals via the special relationship between Duterte and the Health Secretary whom everyone wants fired but Duterte refuses.

* Corruption in the Philippines is worse than ever.

* In June 2020, the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) published a highly critical report (https://undocs.org/en/A/HRC/44/22) on the human rights situation in the Philippines.

* In October 2020, the UN Human Rights Council passed a resolution continuing scrutiny of the situation in the country for another two years, but without creating an international investigation.

* Threats and attacks, including killings, against environmental activists, community leaders, Indigenous peoples’ leaders, journalists, lawyers, and liberal political activists, rose in 2020-2021.

* The Duterte regime harassed journalists and media companies, including through politically motivated prosecutions and other legal action; a court convicted journalist Maria Ressa of cyber libel in June, while the government shut down the country’ largest television network the following month.

* Meanwhile America under Joe Biden has shipped military aircraft, military helicopters plus M3P .50 caliber heavy machine guns and mortar tubes, among other weapons used against Filipinos. On August 17, unidentified gunmen shot dead Zara Alvarez, a legal worker for the human rights group Karapatan, in Bacolod City in the central Philippines. Alvarez’s killing came a week after peasant leader Randall Echanis was found dead, apparently tortured, in his home in Quezon City. Alvarez was the 13th Karapatan member killed during the Duterte administration. This killing was done with American supplied weapons.

The Philippines is screaming for human rights and that asshole Jow Biden sends the killers more guns and bullets.

The United Nations does fuck-all except claiming that it does everything.
