Join artist Cathie Crawford for a virtual tour of her printmaking studio in Peoria, Illinois. Cathie discusses her journey as a printmaker, as well as current art practices and projects. After the 30 minute presentation, there is a short Q & A with MGNE President, Rebecca Torres.
Cathie Crawford is an award-winning printmaker based in Peoria, IL, specializing in the color reduction woodcut. Taking a break from figurative color reduction woodcut editions, she has been making non-objective monoprints for the past few years with great success. Her monoprint titled "Dayenu" was selected for the "New Prints 2014/Autumn" exhibition at the International Print Center New York and the "36th Bradley International" exhibition. The monoprint "Pluvious VI" received the Fine Art Print Award in "GALEX 52." "Inception II" received an Honorable Mention Award in the Monotype Guild of New England’s "2019 Juried Exhibition" at the Rhode island Watercolor Society, Pawtucket, RI.
