Funded by donations, the LCWC purchased enough 12' x 50' benthic barriers to cover 3/4 of an acre of milfoil in Middle Pond of Lake Cochituate - in heavy boat traffic area. The goal: reduce 'prop-chop' fragmentation which floats toward DCR beach. Barriers were purchased from and installed by Aquatic Vision, LLC. Later in the season, the barriers will be moved closer to shore to cover a different 3/4 acre area.
